The Framework

The P.A.U.L Principles.

A behavioural code young people can remember and follow — moving Ifeoma Pauline Igbonacho's legacy from memory into a practical roadmap for their lives.

P
Principle 01

Purposeful Presence

Acting with intention, dignity and respect.

Moving away from impulsive behaviour and learning to show up on purpose — bringing dignity, awareness and respect into every room we enter.

In practice
  • Pause before you react.
  • Choose the tone that reflects who you want to be.
  • Treat every space — online or offline — as a place worth showing up for.
A
Principle 02

Accountability

Taking responsibility for actions and behaviour.

Owning our words, actions and consequences — the true foundation of character and maturity. Accountability turns mistakes into growth and promises into trust.

In practice
  • Say what you'll do; do what you said.
  • Own the outcome, not the excuse.
  • Repair what your actions broke.
U
Principle 03

Unwavering Integrity

Doing the right thing even when unseen.

Integrity is who we are when no one is watching. It is the quiet steadiness that makes a young person trustworthy in small things — and eventually in great ones.

In practice
  • Be the same person in private that you are in public.
  • Refuse the shortcut that costs your character.
  • Tell the truth kindly, especially when it costs you.
L
Principle 04

Lift Others

Contributing positively to society and community.

Shifting the narrative from ‘self’ to ‘community’ — using our strengths to help those around us and contribute meaningfully to the society we all share.

In practice
  • Use your platform to raise, not diminish.
  • Spot a young person struggling — walk with them.
  • Leave every room a little better than you found it.
The Soul of the PLC

“Character is not a lecture. It is a practice we build, one choice at a time.”
